Le Selezioni di P&V Lardo di Colonnata is a PGI product, which is prepared according to an ancient and skilful recipe. The lard is seasoned inside Carrara marble basins with different spices and flavourings (garlic, pepper, cinnamon, sage, rosemary and cloves). Until not so long ago, this product was considered a simple snack for the quarrymen of the Apuan Alps.
The precious lard from Colonnata is a unique delicacy to be enjoyed simply in thin slices on warm homemade bread. A delicate, spicy and captivating flavour.
